Slide Show Archive - Togher Boys National School - 22

The second selection in a batch of three shows a School tour in an unknown location visiting caves and castles. Some whiteout and aging is evident on this batch of slides. This series is poignant in that it completes the Archives of slides available to us. Please forward any and all information through the usual channels.

35mm Educational Film Roll Archive - Togher Boys & Girls National School - 05

In this series , the Historical Assoc. has undertaken to archive a selection of 35mm Film Negative rolls used as Educational Aids in Irish Language Classes during the 1970s and perhaps the 1980s. From being locked up in little silver canisters for almost 30 years to being digitally converted for the first time , the Blog hopes that many former Students and Past Teachers will derive some pleasure from the work here shown. Although in cartoon form , they are windows into the past , not only of time , but of the mind! These would have originally been shown on a screen or a blackboard as background being shot from a film projector with the room darkened for effect. Each photograph is shown in the proper sequence as originally intended. This post concludes the project.
